Nightlife from the Neighborhood to the City
Amsterdam’s vibrant night culture is under threat from gentrification and inflation. Many nightlife spaces are being displaced by rising rents and complaints from neighbors. As a result, the city’s nightlife is losing its diversity and being pushed to the outskirts. Recognizing its value, we invite citizens of Amsterdam to share their thoughts: what does night culture has to offer in your district and the city as a whole?Together with experts, we will discuss issues like gentrification, clubwashing and complaints from neighbors, and explore how you can contribute to a flourishing night culture in your neighborhood and beyond.
