Profile Description:

Lauren Carey, the travel influencer and content creator behind GirlsGoneAbroad, is based in Amsterdam and has built a career inspiring others to explore the world. Originally from Massachusetts, she discovered her passion for travel during a study abroad semester in Sydney, which transformed her perspective. After years in the corporate world, she took a leap, teaching in Thailand and later transitioning into full-time travel content creation. Now, having explored destinations across South and Central America, Africa, and Europe, she shares her experiences through writing, photography, and social media, encouraging others to embrace adventure and new cultures.
